Trunk or Treat

October . . . to my children it means free candy.  As much as we try to give them exposure to other fall favorites, something about dressing up and receiving sugar in a bucket is unbeatable to little kids.  As adults, we enjoy snapping and sharing cute photos of them in their costumes.  From super heroes or community heroes, to princesses or fairies, they sure do look adorable.  The drawback, at least in West Michigan, is the unpredictable weather at this Halloween time of year.  So, us grown-ups appreciate the chance to get the kids multiple donations to their candy bucket, a cacophony of “oohs” and “ahhs” over their costumes, and great time with community and neighbors all in one stop!  Byron Township Recreation is hosting “Trunk or Treat” on Saturday, October 22 from 12-2pm, in Whistlestop Park.

Spica Real Estate will be there, as well as many local businesses and organizations.  While your little ones collect their candy quota, there will be many kid friendly activities to enjoy.  Pony rides, balloon animals, and firetruck tours, just to name a few.  So dress up or down, and come on by to this family friendly free event!
