One of our absolute favorite things about Byron Center is its proximity to nearby cities. Even though Byron has the small town feel, it’s only a quick drive into the city for extra culture and activities. It’s honestly the best of both worlds!
This season, we’re really excited to be able to visit Frederik Meijer Garden’s Japanese Garden Exhibit. Have you heard about it yet? It’s pretty amazing. By far, one of the most impressive exhibits we’ve been able to see at the gardens.
This exhibit is currently open to the public and runs until August 16.
Prices vary from $3 to $12.
To find out more about rates, hop over to the Frederik Meijer Rates page. Just click here.
There are a ton of things to see and do at this exhibit, so if you’re planning to go, be sure to make an entire day of it!
Okay, this feature of the gardens is really interesting! And since we love looking at homes and buildings, it’s right up our alley.
It’s an actual authentic Japanese Teahouse on the grounds of the Frederik Meijer Gardens. Believe us when we say that you won’t even feel like you’re in the middle of West Michigan when you see this! It’s fascinating to look at a piece of architecture and realize that it once sat on Japanese territory, before being disassembled and brought to the gardens!
Go and check it out and let us know what you think about Japanese architecture. We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this type of architecture.
While you’re there, don’t miss out out seeing the waterfalls, Zen garden, and sculptures.
Have you been to the Gardens before? Either way, don’t miss out now! Take the afternoon to escape to the city! And when you get back home to Byron Center, make sure that you let us know what you thought of your experience. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
