Top 5 Byron Center Parks You Must Visit This Fall

Perhaps our favorite thing about Byron Center is its wealth of family friendly activities. Especially, the amount of parks in the area to take your kids to throughout the year. We put together a list of our favorite parks below, but we want to know, which parks are your favorite?

#1: Whistlestop Park
2120 76th Street
Byron Center, Michigan

This park is our favorite pick for mamas and little ones who need a day out of the house to explore! Whistlestop Park is located just behind the Byron Township Community Center near the corner of 76th St SW and Whistlewood.

This park is great for kids of all ages with play areas for toddlers another for elementary students, as well. It also has soccer and baseball fields on the premises. This park has a nice, large pavilion, perfect for gathering and meeting friends and church groups.

Plus, we especially love this park for the small wooded area with well maintained paths to walk. The paths aren’t too long, perfect for young children who need to run outdoors and burn some energy! And if you’re still looking for more, try walking the paved path around the small pond, with plenty of fish and ducks to entertain your little one.

#2 Bicentennial Park

Byron Center, Michigan

Bicentennial park is located just behind and adjacent to the Byron Center Public Library near the intersection of Byron Center Avenue and 84th Street. Its accommodations, include:

• Baseball & Softball Fields
• Basketball Courts
• Pavilion & Picnic Area
• Play Equipment
• Shuffleboard Courts
• Skate Park
• Tennis Courts

And the best part of visiting the Bicentennial Playground is that before or after, you can pop into the library and say hello to our favorite children’s librarians, Miss Barb and Miss Jana! Does it get any more special than that?

#4 Cutler Park
6701 Cutler Park Drive
Byron Center, Michigan

Cutler Park is located near the intersection of Division and 68th Street. It is known best for it’s accommodating baseball fields and tennis courts. But it also has a playground for smaller children to play while their siblings may be at practice.

#5 Frog Hollow
2050 Metro Court
Wyoming, MI 49509

Just across M-6 sits another one of our favorite parks: Frog Hollow.

And okay, technically, it’s in Wyoming…. but if you live in Byron Center, Frog Hollow is a must venture to park. It is tucked behind the Metro Hospital. If you go to Frog Hollow on Thursday mornings, be sure that you stop by the Metro Hospital Farmer’s Market first.

Frog Hollow has been designed to accommodates all children, with and without disabilities. It is built on a state of the art padding that allows for gentle falls and worry-free mamas. It also has a nicely shaded pavilion for picnics and afternoon snacks. Let your kids explore and push their limits while feeling safe at Frog Hollow.
