About Us

Abouspica familyt Paul

I have been in the real estate business since 2004; the first four years in commercial real estate with Grubb & Ellis, where I focused primarily on retail clients, and since 2008 I’ve been in the residential market. I love to work with buyers and sellers of residential and commercial properties to help accomplish their goals and dreams.

I am married to Jennifer and together we have four daughters; Isabelle, Liliana, Lucy and Charlotte. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and playing golf. I am involved with Christian Business Men’s Association and part of the church that meets at Ada Bible’s Kentwood Campus. I am also on the board of directors at Grace Adventures in Mears, MI.

I enjoy working with clients and enjoy the buying and selling process from beginning to end. The best part of real estate is matching buyers and sellers, connecting them to make a win-win deal. I do thorough research and market analysis to give you the best information possible regarding pricing and marketing opportunities.

The question is often asked, “why do you do what you do?”.  I believe that it is a Biblical mandate to work, and to “ . . . Work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord . . .” (Col. 3:23).  Working is more than just a means of providing for my family.  Work is an opportunity to honor God by using the gifts and talents He has given me.  It is also a conduit for me to use my gifts and talents to help others.  Financial gain is simply a by-product of doing the right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons.

About Ryan

I was born and raised in Buffalo,New York where I met my wife Carole. We moved to Grand Rapids Michigan in the fall of 1994. We quickly realized West Michigan was the perfect place to raise our family. With four distinct seasons, great schools, a thriving downtown and low cost of living, who could ask for anything more?

Ryan KaufmanWhen our youngest of three children was thirteen, we decided to adopt a little girl from China. That was in the spring of 2001. A few years later and two more trips to China we had adopted three girls, bringing our family’s count to six children. Soon we had five grandchildren, and the family keeps growing. We have been truly blessed.

Along the way I found I was called to real estate. In 2004 I became a licensed Realtor. Three years later I became a Real Estate Broker and soon became the managing partner of my own company, Gold Realty.  Our company has been growing ever since. In May of 2015, Paul Spica became my partner and we changed our name to Spica Real Estate. We are committed to providing our client the best experience throughout the entire buying and selling experience.

I look forward to servicing the Real Estate needs of West Michiganders for many years to come.

Abrandon-facebout Brandon

I was born and raised in the Caledonia/Alto area, and was homeschooled K-12. Growing up I enjoyed playing basketball for the South East Cougars homeschool team and playing drums for the youth band at First Baptist Church of Middleville. Watching my dad run his business, Homeschool Performing Arts, motivated me to become an entrepreneur. After going to Grand Rapids Community College for Business Management I was inspired to join Spica Real Estate as a licensed agent in 2015.

I love Detroit/U ofM Sports. I value learning, critical thinking, and hard work.

About Amy

I grew up ifriedman familynternationally as a child of missionaries.  I returned to the U.S. for college where I pursued a degree in Education.  Shortly after finishing my degree, I met my husband, Jon. We now have two children, Caleb and Abigail.  I was blessed to stay home during their early childhood, and pour into their upbringing.  Now they have started their school education and God led me to work with Spica Real Estate.

My role here is Client Care Coordinator.  This means I have the awesome opportunity to support the team and you throughout and beyond the process of buying and selling.  My joy is bringing smiles to faces, meeting needs, and being helpful.

I am eager to see how God may “. . . establish the work of my hands”  (Psalm 90:17).

Here are what a few of our past clients have to say about working with us.
