The Closing: First Time Home Buying Video Series 17

You made it! (See… we told you that you would!) It is finally the day of your closing! But there are still a few things that we want you to be aware of, so please check out this quick video to ensure that your closing session goes as smoothly as possible.

Before you go to your closing…

• Make sure you know where you are going. What’s the address?
• Make sure you bring your registered cashier’s check
• Don’t forget your driver’s license or photo ID

In addition to your agent, the Title Company Closer will also be at the meeting. The Closer will have all of the legal documents that you will have to sign. It normally takes about 30-45 minutes for the Closer to go through the documents with you. Don’t worry, they will carefully explain each document and answer any questions that you might have. You will be responsible for signing these documents.

Once all of the documents have been signed and agreed upon, there will be an exchange of funds. All of the checks will be dispersed to the proper party.

At the end of the meeting, you will either get the keys to your house or you will set a date to get the keys to your home.

And that’s it, folks! You’ve purchased your first home!!
